The mission of the university is the promotion of scientific knowledge through research and the contribution to the cultural and economic development of the local community and wider society.\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sed.uth.gr\/index.php\/en\/english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Special Education (SED)<\/a>\u00a0educates students in the field of inclusive education and disability.<\/p>\n<p>The team at the University of Thessaly are experts in the area of inclusion and disability with a special focus on persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and persons with visual disabilities. Therefore, they will have a key role to advise all partners on issues regarding inclusion and disability at all phases of the project.
