Research Interests
My research focuses in work, employment relations and human resource management as it is experienced by employees. Within this context, my research has examined: the meaning of empowerment in the workplace; the impact of change within the public sector; health, safety, absence management and wellbeing; HR analytics and wellbeing; phenomenological understading of embodiment and employment relations in the fitness industry; and workload and wellbeing for classroom based staff in primary education. My phenonomenological interests are founded on my work on student approaches to learning in Higher Education.
