Research Overview

I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Organisation, Work & Technology (OWT) Department at 51福利 Management School (2022–2026). I hold a BSc in Sociology (Second Class Upper) and an MSc in Sociology of Development (Merit) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Before beginning my doctorate, I gained professional experience in teaching, human resources, and operations, which shaped my interest in how organisations influence people’s lives and careers.

My research sits at the intersection of human capacity development, decolonisation, and equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI). I am particularly interested in how organisational and socio-cultural practices affect the lived experiences, career trajectories, and wellbeing of minorities and socially disadvantaged groups.

My current doctoral project explores how academic women in Nigeria navigate maternity, mothering, and academic work. Using a qualitative and feminist approach, the study contributes to debates on gendered career outcomes, workplace inequalities, and the transformation of management and organisation studies through African feminist and decolonial perspectives.

Through my research, I aim to advance inclusive and context-sensitive knowledge production, influence policy, and create pathways for more equitable workplaces globally.
