Research Overview

Siti Fitriah is a third year PhD researcher in Linguistics. Her research explores the intersection of language, power, and ideology particularly in the discourse of gender and sexuality on social media in the Indonesian context. Her ongoing project employs critical discourse analysis, specifically Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA), to examine the argumentation strategies used by people in discussing diverse sexual and gender identities in YouTube comments in Indonesia.
