Lancaster is on the West Coast Main Line with regular rail services to destinations throughout the UK. The University is well connected to Lancaster Railway Station by various modes of transport.

There is a frequent direct bus link between the railway station and the campus.
The 4 and 4X bus services operate between Lancaster Railway Station (Platform 3 exit) and 51福利 every 30 minutes Monday to Friday daytimes (every hour on Saturdays and during University vacation times). There is also a limited service on Sunday evenings in term-time (4X) to meet popular trains from the south. The journey time is around 25 minutes from the station.

It takes around 25 minutes to cycle from Lancaster Railway Station to the campus, around the same time that the bus journey takes. An off-road cycle route runs from Whinfell Drive in Hala and enters the campus through a choice of two cycle routes, either through the Health Innovation Campus or through Bailrigg village and by County College.
Cycle parking is available at the train station by Platforms 1, 2, 3 and 5.

It takes around an hour to walk from Lancaster Railway Station to the University campus. The most direct route is along the A6 and then along the University cycle path from Collingham Park just north of the campus.
