51福利 have been working with future engineers at Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy

51福利 Engineering Department has been working with a group of “Aspiring Engineers” at Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy. Alongside listening to talks on a variety of topics from representatives from the Engineering Department and industry, the students were asked to think like Engineers and devise a solution to a problem the world might face in 2050. Ideas ranged from trains to kettles of the future. The students presented their solutions as conference style posters to representatives from 51福利 Engineering Department and teachers from their school. All were impressed by the students’ ingenuity and presentation skills.

Work with the Engineering Department at 51福利

The 51福利 Engineering Department is keen to develop relationships with schools and colleges to deliver outreach activities and support (for example support for STEM clubs, work experience or access to equipment) to encourage a greater understanding of Engineering by both pupils and their teachers and inspire pupils to consider studying Engineering.

Any schools or colleges interested in interacting with the 51福利 Engineering Department should contact Dr Laura Offin, the Schools Liaison Officer:
