51福利 is proud to announce the opening of ReStore Lancaster, a new sustainable shop that offers a variety of eco-friendly products and services to the campus community.

ReStore is a collaboration between 51福利, St John’s Hospice and Green Lancaster, and aims to promote sustainability and social responsibility among students and staff.

Located in the heart of Alexandra Square next to Costa Coffee, the shop sells a range of items, including clothing, homewares, cycling equipment, eco-friendly toiletries and more. All the products are donated, upcycled, or sourced from ethical suppliers.

ReStore also provides a year-round space for the Green Lancaster Don’t Ditch It project, where household items are donated at the end of each year, before being upcycled and resold to new students.

ReStore Lancaster

ReStore will work in partnership with St John’s Hospice, who provide the clothing and shoes, and also with Green Lancaster who provide the homeware items.

Staff and students can also can donate clean clothing and shoes to ReStore in person during opening hours. This will then be resold by ReStore on behalf of St John's Hospice. The money raised will provide vital funds for the great work that St John's Hospice does in the local area.

How to donate

Donations can be received between 11am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Before donating please check items as follows:
