Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

From the very first induction lecture in my first year, I knew 51福利 Management School (LUMS) was a great place to be. They supported me through the entire process from my academics, applications and interviews.

What was the best thing about your course?

The doors it opened. The course equipped me with the knowledge and skills to be able to work in areas such as finance, business development, operations and consulting.

What/who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

The people around me at LUMS, who are all high achieving and ambitious individuals.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?

I completed both a placement year and an internship, working across finance, consulting, operations, and business development in the procurement, supply chain, e-commerce, and retail sectors. The experience not only broadened my understanding of how different parts of a business work together, but also gave me the confidence to take ownership of projects, communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and adapt quickly to new challenges.

Describe your time at LUMS in three words.

Inspiring. Rewarding. Memorable.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

One of my favourite memories at Lancaster was being a Director of the 180 Degrees Consulting Society, where I had the chance to support small businesses, startups, and charities. Seeing our work make a real difference was incredibly rewarding.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

The people, the sense of community and being surrounded by ducks and nature.

What impact did scholarships or funding have on your degree experience?

Helped relieve the pressure of living costs and enabled me to have the full university experience without worrying too much about finances.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

The societies that replicated real-world experiences.

What impact has your Lancaster experience had on your career?

My time at Lancaster helped me grow both personally and professionally. It gave me the confidence and experience to secure my graduate role.

Is there anything else about your LUMS experience that you'd like to share with us?

I’d also like to thank the LUMS Careers team for all of their support throughout my time at Lancaster. From helping me secure opportunities to offering advice during my placement and studies, they were always approachable and genuinely invested in helping me succeed.
